We officially tied the knot, wedded, took the plunge, got hitched, became man and wife, GOT…MARRIED! With the cost of a wedding in mind, we originally proposed having an intimate courthouse wedding and we thought we were being very realistic and responsible for making that decision. The average cost of a wedding in Orange County, CA is about $40,000 (gasp!) I will get straight to the point and say we did not have a courthouse wedding. Despite our efforts of being reasonable with our loved ones, the bottom line is marriage is a magical and sacred ritual. Magic and love with families will always outweigh more pragmatic stuff, like the courthouse. Needless to say, we loved every minute of our wedding and are beyond grateful to be with all of our loved ones and will cherish that day forever.
